User Guide
AD Simple is a BIM drafting plugin for SketchUp that automates scene creation, dimensioning, tagging, grids, hatching, labeling and PDF export — all from a single panel.
Go to Extensions → AD Simple → Open Panel or click the AD Simple icon on the toolbar.
Automatically creates Plan, Elevation, Section, and RCP scenes with correct camera angles, section planes, and naming conventions.
Places dimensions on walls, openings, and structural elements. Supports linear, continue, and edge dimensioning modes.
Select a tag category, then click or drag to assign tags to objects. Supports nested groups and components.
Quick-assign tags with visual overlay. Press Tab to show the tag list, click to assign, drag for box selection.
Generate structural grids (Level, Column, Angle) automatically from your model. Supports custom spacing, labels, and bubble styles.
Automatically apply hatch patterns to section cut faces based on material tags. Supports custom patterns and colors.
Auto-label doors and windows with type ID, dimensions, and swing direction indicators.
Export the current scene or all scenes to high-quality PDF files. Supports custom paper sizes, scales, and title blocks.
